Gradients: Ethiopia has it all – flat, gently sloping, undulating, steep.

Altitude: 2,200m – 2,900m (7,200ft – 9,500ft). Here’s more on preparing for training at altitude.

Surfaces we train on: Hard-mud earth, forest tracks, grassy meadows, gravel paths, a 400m gravel race track and, sparingly, asphalt. See below some photos of our club athletes, visiting runners and Ethiopia-based runners training on a variety gradients and surfaces.
